Metal detectorist's creed

Postby Jason5223 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 8:16 pm

This is my metal detector. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My metal detector is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my wife.
My metal detector, without me, is useless. Without my metal detector, I am useless. I must set up my metal detector true. I must detect straighter than my predesessors who detected this land in the past. I must find more than him more hammies, more romans, more of everything. I will...
My metal detector and myself know that what counts in this hobby is not the detector we buy, the noise of our tones, or the holes we make. We know that it is the finds that count. We will hit the target.
My metal detector is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its coil and its settings. I will keep my metal detector clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God, I swear this creed. My metal detector and myself are the representatives of my country. We are the masters of our machines. We are the saviors of great artifacts.
So be it, until victory is ours and there is no more to find, but peace!

Right that should do it ::g

Deus, WSi's - In the end we will regret the chances we didn't take, the relationships we were afraid to have and the decisions we waited too long to make ..
