Ebay madness

Postby 19adrian68 on Sat Feb 06, 2010 6:07 pm

On the odd occasion I check out metal detectors on ebay and I have started to notice a strange pattern emerging. What I have noticed is that some detectors are selling for more than the rrp price from reputable dealers. What is more worrying is that these detectors are upwards of two years old and carry little or no warranty.
If these MD's came with a vast array of extra coils headphones coil covers etc I could understand it a little bit more but a teknetiks t2 2years old with one coil and no extras sold for £1200 plus £30 postage.A new one with 2 year warranty is £750 from online dealers.Am I missing something or should I be buying them from dealers and selling them on ebay. :-/

I have read somewhere about paying way-over-the-odds for things on eBay and believe it can be used as a form of money-laundering.
