Edinburgh or Central Scotland

Postby Lee » Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:06 pm

My friend and i have just invested in a garrett 250 each and all the relevent walking gear. We are looking for like minded experienced people to go detecting with during the week or weekends. I have a Toyota Hilux so transport and space wont be a problem.

Cheers

Hi Lee

welcome to the best and most active metal detecting forum in the UK, are you in Edinburgh or just intend to use your new machines there ? I live in outskirts of Edinburgh myself and I also have a Garrett Ace 250 but also just a few weeks ago I invested in a new Minelab X-Terra 705 to add to my collection. There are quite a lot of us here on this forum who are also from north of the border and I'm sure that they will be a long shortly to introduce themselves.

I'm glad to hear that you've got a 4x4 pickup as you'll probally need one to access some of the land if your farmers allow you to drive on their fields.

Hope to hear how you get on and maybe some photos to show your finds too :)
