People can be quite protective over there areas, what you will find on here is a lot of people will come make a few post's and then disapear, where as some get really involved and will post and comment on a daily basis, this way people who are regular's on here get to know you and then you will find invite's to other peoples land is more forth coming.
best advice is to try and get into your local club and watch out for open dig's / rallies and once you get to know a few people. thing's will get easier,
there was just a few month's ago a detectorist from North wales who was moving and he had access to 1000's of acres which he passed onto a local club through somebody on here.
so patience can be rewarded keep at it and never be afraid to knock on a door

Lots of great info on the history of Anglesey. worth a look on amazon
