Rare coin of Proculus

Hi guys,just wanted to share this with you.Found last Wednesday on a roman site in East Yorkshire.Only one other coin of this Emperor known and it's identical to this one.

If your the finder of the coin then a very big well done. Have seen this posted a few times here and elsewere and its sparked alot of interest. Find of a lifetime and the valuation is mind boggling. Again well done

Im sure the experts will quantify the coins authenticity, the proculus posted on here a short while ago was the actual coin on wildwinds website and has since been withdrawn,cd.

Hi guys, I get the impression that some of you think this coin of Proculus is a bit of a wind up.I can assure you that it definately is the real deal .It was found last Wednesday(7th)in East Yorkshire by me.It has been recorded by the p.a.s. at the Yorkshire museum and on UKDFD.The coin will be picked up from me on Friday by Dix Noonan Webb and will be auctioned next March.I'll keep you informed of any further developements.

Hi yorcol , sorry if i sounded a bit disbeleiving in my first post, but its just strange there only being one coin ever known of Proculus and then two turn up on the forum in a week, if you see what i mean, not suggesting anything is wrong with your coin mate, its just strange the way things happened, all the best with it, an outstanding find

Nice one . The thing is, 98% of us haven't got a clue what were looking at 98% of the time ! . Frustrating when ppl don't share one's excitement, but thats how it is. Congratulations. . Look forward to seeing the auction result..
