Hi all,
out today on a new permission of mine and found this. It's solid lead and quite heavy. Would anybody like to hazard a guess as to what this could be?

It's too heavy for a pendant so must have adorned something??

I had an update from the FLO today and to be honest I'm a little disappointed. I think you guys on here found out more about it than the FLO. Doesn't fill me with confidence that I will get an accurate ID.....

I have checked with colleagues and although similar its not Roman. Its likely to be a 19th brothel token though!

That is awesome, what a funny and unusual find.

If see the point about the roman (if that era) same as that rare brothel token found on the thames a few years back.

I'm going with KB, Brothel Token and if that is the case then you have a very interesting and valuable find, get off to the FLO and see what he/she says ....
I have a feeling there will be some mod editing to follow .. =))

I don't think it is roman. It looks medieval as she looks to be wearing a wimple and short leg stockings.

This thread ought to have a CERT 18 rating. =))
