You did well there, Huntress!
That looks like an old .303 bullet case! Wonder how that got there...may be someone didn't like the band!! :))

Looks like a goods haul. Love the badge lol. I am hoping to pick up some .303 shell casings' (and maybe the bullets' too) they should be littered everywhere as they just fell from the planes during the war. When the weather lets me get out that is.

Great day you had!
Im about to contact my local council to ask if i can detect on some of our local parks.
Some have been open to the public for hundreds of years so im hoping for a positive response
from the council.
Find more .. with c-scope!

Congrats!
Nice finds!
You are allowed to Metal Detect on Southampton Common However YOU are not allowed to dig????? How daft is that??
Oh the excuse is a Beauty, " There are Live Hand grenades beneath the grass" So that leaves me thinking....... What if the kids play there are one of them WW2 jobbies decide to go off and kills a kiddie? Would they the say Oh maybe we should have allowed metal detecting the Detectorist's could have removed them for us, or at least when you do find one mark it with a flag and let the Old Bill come and remove the Grenade.
Hmmm So no Sunday walks on the Ole common for me thanks. Kaboom :-O is not part of my future if I can help it.
lol
