Thanks for that post Bat Singer. ::g

I have been thinking! I have been wondering if calling them Night Hawks gives them some sort of thrill; maybe adds some kudos to their practices. After all, being called a shoplifter sounds less criminal than being called a theif.

Can anyone come up with an other name that we can use for those people? I thought of replacing the "N" with "Sh", but I suppose thet would get me banned! :(

NIGHT VULTURES. ..... I phoned the estate owner this morning to tell them that it wasn't me that left the bomb site of holes I found on their permission ( and filled in myself). They hadn't noticed but since the area is in full view of the mansion they said it could only have been done at night. They have no shame or thought for other detectorists, land owners or recording history properly. Grrrrrr
At least I didn't get blamed and kicked off

Sorry to do a duplicate post, but want to get the message out there for all reading

Yes not good, best we can do it to report anyone found doing this and help educate new members about detecting legally and responsibly though the detecting code of conduct

One reason this forum has a strong stance on detecting illegally ::g

I had a comedy video on my youtube channel taking the micky out of nIghthawkers, saying it was too much of a cool name, and there needs to be another name put in its place. Something that depicts the sad and lonely type of person that goes out at 2 o clock in the morning, in the pitch black, with obviously nothing better to do.

How is that enjoyable?

Anyhow, I had to delete it because so many night hawkers gave me crap on the video! There were loads of negative comments.

Oh, and by the way, they are very, very close...

Frustrating.
