Silver sabre plus

Evening everyone.Just a quick question about my silver sabre plus,can I upgrade it with a bigger coil or a DD one.It has an eight inch polo one.

yes larger coil just make sure its a 4 pin or 5 pin got web coil for mine

The Silver Sabre plus has a 5 pin coil connector,i still have one and have coils from 4inch to the big 11inch most of the time you can get away with just changing coils but it does have a small adjustable pot near the battery box that may need fine tuning to match the coil to the detector.If in doubt dont touch it just try and see how it goes.

A fantastic detector it came with the standard 7inch coil but i changed it to the 8.5 inch coil as this is often seen as the best combination for the SS+,its a great machine and has a massive cult following.

Hi there,

I use the 9" Shadow web coil on my SS2 it is perfectly matched and more responsive than the polo head. No adjustments are required. If you go too big, you tend to lose pinpointing a bit and get false overlap signals more.
