had a similar fault on my original minelab coil. it was buggered, bought a platypus coil, finds went up and slightly lighter, was very happy the original one gave up, it was ghosting at the end of every swing, and any movement on the socket would make it beep, so pleased i swapped.

Hi Challymoose...

What machine are you swinging and does the fault still manifest itself if you turn the sensitivity down a bit...???

Hmmmmm...

I do seem to remember that there have been other posts on here saying that there were a bad batch of coils that were fitted to the G2... Best get it back to your supplier if it is still under warranty and let them sort it...

Regards
