Postby jacko » Sun Nov 27, 2011 8:59 pm

evening all :D
just a question about what you think is the best way to stop your silver coins turning black
as i have just noticed that some of my hammered coins seem to be going black around the
edges. i know some one will have the answer

thanks jacko ;)

its best to leave them alone
make sure you dont store them with any other metals its best to keep different metals away from one another use a good quality storage system remembering that some woods can have deteriorating effects on coins

i dunked mine in electrolysis for a few moments at a time, to see what would happen, and im pleased to say it worked really well. dont want to recomend it to you though in case you destroy your coins. i gave mine away to the farmer any way, but it did clean them up really well
