Deus ordered

Postby Landyman » Wed Apr 27, 2011 9:30 pm

Well, after 3-4 weeks of deliberating, I finally took the plunge today and ordered a Deus from Eurocosm.com Hopefully it will arrive in the next couple of days to allow me to make the most of the long weekend coming up.. :)

Hi Jules, will do! It was over £150 cheaper than buying it at Regton's when I last checked. ;)

Nice one ;)

I dont think you'll go far wrong.... the thing I've found is the steeper learning curve with the extra sounds... AND a display to look at lol!

Most of the top end machines appear to cut the mustard but seeing the XP GMP eat Roman coins on the trashiest site I've ever seen was inspirational! Thats why I went for the Deus.
Still, at the end of the day, you've gotta walk over it haha! Just helps when you're walking over a site with THOUSANDS of Roman nails hee!

Congrats on your new tector, hope you like it.

Question please:

Is it pronounced to rhyme with "Zeus" or like the end of Amadeus? :-/

EDIT: Thank you both for reply. :)

Just to update everyone, due to the Royal wedding and the Bank holiday, although I ordered my Deus on the evening of Wed 27th April, it wasn't actually despatched until Tues 3rd at 5.55pm, and arrived the next again day at 2.45pm, approx 21 hrs later, which I thought was great!

The Deus has the v1.0 software, which is easily updated, the only other difference being the smaller capacity LiPo batteries, which is not a problem to my mind, considering the detector was over £150 cheaper than the normally quoted price of £1395.

I haven't managed to get out with it yet due to the weather. :( , but I'm raring to go with it!!

At the moment, I have it standing next to my Toltec 100 against the wall in the office, and it puts me in mind of one of those F117 stealth fighters standing beside a WW2 Spitfire.. :)

Glad it's arrived ok ;)

It certainly is a neat bit of kit although very expensive!
I'm sure that when you test it out on any previous land you've methodically searched, it will find a few things you've missed :)
I've been using mine on a "custom" mode set up for pasture... when I change the mode to GMP or any other XP programme, it sounds completely different!!! Dohhhh! lol
