There is an insinuation in that statement!I can tell you for a fact there is very little between the two machines, when set up properly.

GRAMMAR: The difference between knowing your s**t and knowing you're s**t. Re: Question for Deus usersNot at all hammy. I would Not do that with you being a deus owner, I'm shocked lol
In all seriousness I'm quite impressed with the machine. It wouldnt be fair to comment how it faired against the etrac Just yet as its only Just out the box and there's alot more tests to do and settings to play with etc. One favour i Could ask is what settings you use on yours hammy as it seemed to do well on the gmax mode but Not so well on gmax power. What reactivy numbers, frequency etc. ![]() Minelab ctx
Re: Question for Deus users 18khz and 12khz are the better frequencies for hammereds. The GMP and Fast mode are really designed for trashy and really trashy ground.By default the sensitivity is set at 90 on the presets(If I can get away with it, I run mine at 99,but it can be chirpy that high) Anything on the VDU numberwise below 30(at 18 khz )will be rubbish.Coke can show as bouncy numbers20-6-34-11 etc Hammies tend to show numbers 60-80.When you change frequencies it will alter the numbers on the VDU e.g a hammy showing 80 at 18khz will show 70 at 12khz. The lower frequencies will punch deeper, but can also miss the smaller stuff. Big iron will tend to show 99-98 on the VDU.You can use the horseshoe to indicate this,it will tend to alternate between the left and right side. On the far right of the screen is a mineralisation bar,if you watch this in the field it will move up and down as you search. The higher it goes the better,It will help you id the proper trashy ground where there has been habitation. You also have the choice of ground adjustment. If on not to trashy ground tracking is good(it sets the machine at +1 to the ground you are on)The only downside of tracking is it can track big iron and give a ghost signal(this is easily sussed because the signal wont repeat) Hope this helps. ![]() http://www.minddisorders.com/Del-Fi/Denial.html Lions lead by donkeys

Re: Question for Deus usersJust to add to this, the analogue bar at the top can show a reading when the vdu does'nt. normally on deaper targets, and sometimes when you hear faint signals, I like the 12khz setting on Gmpower too....

Re: Question for Deus users
Make sure eurocosm are offering the latest model[it should have the fixed vdu holder rather than the magnet, and a bigger armcup] ![]() http://www.minddisorders.com/Del-Fi/Denial.html Lions lead by donkeys

Re: Question for Deus usersAnswering machine when calling Eurocosm UK down in Nailsworth (well I did leave it late...). Probably won't be any the wiser till next week now.
I 'suspect' V1.0 at this price but.... Have a great weekend one and all and don't trip over too many hammies ! ;-) Cheers ! John in Gloucester p.s. Like others here it can be very easy to be seduced by a 'new' machine and while I appreciate XP have to cover all their research/production costs £1,395 is still a lot of spondoolicks ! (Its a damn fine machine mind and credit to them for innovation ! )p.p.s. V2.0 is of course firmware update so not sure what the machine with the new physical improvements is called (if anything..). ?? Re: Question for Deus users...and Eurocosm also have the Goldmaxx Power at only £639. Another fine XP machine.
Garrett, C.Scope and Viking would appear to be the other brands they sell there... I will check them out next week suffice that this is what we need.. more competition. And with a saving of £80 to £160 plus it can't be ignored... (unless I'm missing something here...) Cheers !
