Quattro restarting

Post by Mavmiles » Thu Sep 12, 2013 10:52 am

Hello all,
To cut a long story short, got a good deal on a minelab quattro,
Took her out for the first time this morning for a couple of hours, and for some reason it
Shut off and restarted itself a couple of times,

Im using alkaline battery pack with duracell batteries. And display is showing full battery level
Does any one have an idea why it did this

If it was battery pack, would it just not turn off and stay off, untill i turned
it back on .
This is more of a quick restart

Had the same problem with the alkaline battery pack in my Explorer, it was the spring
in the battery pack not making good contact with the batteries, bought a Minelab
rechargeable battery and charger and that cured the problem, just check the spring inside the battery door, mine would not compress correctly and that was the problem, a new alkaline
pack would be a cheaper option, hope you get it sorted.

Les.
