axed a monkey

Post by leslie(nova scotia) »

It was raining. It was dark. Housework was done. Went out and had some fun. Did a walk in the woods. A walk in the woods where no hunters go. That is so. Found a key. Then another. Then one with a monkey. Got rather lax. Then found an axe. Then a few coins made me retire. Took them to Nogo. To look at them an admire.

I suppose you would expect to find an axe and a monkey in the woods. The rest is just a bonus. :D

The monkey looks very happy to be found, but I don't know what the collar is or what it went around. The axe-man's wrist , or his dog that knawed at trees, that maybe had a taste for eating ramblers keys ? The small metal chain must have broken from strain, and the coins come from lost tourists who just stepped off a train ?

(And, don't tell me there are only boats in your neighbourhood , you know very well they're not found in the wood)
