BUT for on the beaches Scotland it is different to England, Wales and Northern Ireland because there is a general right of access for the public to all beaches and foreshore including those owned by The Crown Estate. [Hence the reason why they do not bother to provide maps of the Crown Estate foreshore in Scotland]

I assume, but do not know, that for detecting on inland you need the landowners permission exactly the same as in the rest of the UK so that means "knocking on doors" and asking for permission.
