At last, after finding very little for a while now on well worked sites and losing one of my bigger permissions due to a change of ownership, I finally got around to revisiting a landowner that my mother used to work for, I did detect one of his fields many years ago and there is pretty good potential for roman I think as there was once a roman road right through the estate, and not to far away from known settlements.
Virtually every field on his estate is in crop at the moment but the season is looking good and he and his family also have several other large farming estates in the area so could lead to even more land to have a go at in the future.

Sounds like a winner.
Just shows, persistence pays - well done, and good luck....
