Isle of Man & an idea for permissions

Post by Tone » Mon Mar 20, 2017 6:37 pm

Hi, My search within the forum for beach detecting info on the Isle of Man saves anyone responding - yes, it's ok. My annual trip to the TT (& Manx) places me by a beach this year, for accommodation, so I'll be taking my prospecting gear. Any Manx person. or anyone over there for that matter, is welcome to join me (in between watching the gladiators howl past).

I also enjoy fishing and regularly visit ponds/pits/lakes. Many of these places have been hives of industry in a previous life. I've only asked for MD permission at 3 so far, but all 3 have said yes and have not had any previous interest from detectorists. This area appears to be a rich source of permissions; but possibly not rich in artefacts ;)

Apologies if this has already been covered.
