Detecting buddy

Post by Swfc1991 » Sun Jun 23, 2013 6:50 am

I'm new to the hobby, live in Brighton, and wondered if there is anyone who is looking for a detecting buddy? :D

You might get several takers now you have said you have a field, most people who ask have no land ::g

You seem to have got off on the wrong foot. The folk on here are very friendly and helpful. Newcomers are always welcomed but land is especially scarce at this time of the year and so don't expect a flurry of members willing to take you along. Its not a personal thing.
I hope you do find some land, I get down there a bit myself and managed to find two places to detect, all down to following the guidelines in the Permission section.
Best not to get upset if others are not keen to share, they don't even know much about you, all the best, Liam ::g

Wise words indeed!! My advice from experience is to continue trying to find a buddy and some permission of your own. I answered an ad for a buddy last year and have made a cracking friend with " Hopeful!" who has loads of land to detect on and I share mine with her, so between us we have made a new friend and plenty of permission to go on.
The rest you can get from this Forum, But you gotta be nice!!! Good Luck. ::g ::g
