Which East coast beach?

Post by Easylife » Sat Jun 23, 2018 11:33 pm

Can anyone suggest any East coast beaches that might be worth detecting in Yorkshire, East Anglia or Norfolk. I usually detect inland but fancy having a go on a beach this week for a change. I've looked at the Crown foreshore map, Magic map for no-go areas, and searched the forum but am still quite undecided. What are the conditions currently like? Thanks in advance. ::g

Norfolk wise......Yarmouth , either sides of the pier....Cromer, right hand side of the pier where they surf but get ready to dig a lot of look like molten ali...though the north Norfolk beach's have had a lot of sand disappeared so dont expect too much...especially mundesley where I regularly go as Mrs swims there 2 times a week has been dead , again it suffers from the molten ali there too... hembsy used to be worth a look near the amusment end...waxham the party beach has always been disappointing....Hunstantion is worth a look beach near the fun fair but b prepared to pay an arm and leg for the parking near the fun fair ....going to sea palling today arnt expecting much couple of quid hopefully... ::g

Hunstanton near the sea wall is still stuffed with predecimal coppers and some silver but hard digging through the stones and lots of ringpulls and junk. Further out pretty quiet but still the odd nice bit.👍
