Another Good Morning at the Beach, for me.

Post by Dave The Slave » Sun Jul 08, 2018 2:26 pm

The lure of the beach is too much, luckily it`s only a 10 minute drive away, with FREE parking.
Arrived there at 5.15am, few overnight campers in tents already on sand.
Once again using the Bounty Hunter, specifically for recent coin losses.
Wanted to finish off the area I started last week but a tent was there.
Went to next Groyne, gridding as usual, slow start not many signals.
First pocket spill of the season = 3 pounds 40p.
Sunbathers started rolling up at 6.30am, far too early on a Sunday.
Left at 7.45am too hot and too many people.
Did see a couple detecting, the lady was using a Garrett.
Reckoned I had aroundImaged 7 quid, counted out at home 11 pounds 23p <E>:)) .
Soon mounts up.
All beer tops were surface finds, so coins outnumbered junk.

The old pound had been uncovered by barbecue people digging a 3ft deep hole and was in their spoil heap, thank you guys/gals.
Can`t wait to continue next Sunday.
Good Luck all. ::g
Dave.

Great stuff. I soooooo miss breach detecting and hope to resume it when I get my Nox. Me and Pete used to have a contest as to who would find most loose change. Not a bad result there Dave. Kebab and chips and a can of lager.

Sunbathers at 6.30am ... how sad is that??? I've heard of global warming, but never envisaged it would lead to global dawning!!! Remember you heard it here first folks!!!

Patent that phrase ::g
We can knock out some T shirts, Sweat shirts, with a sun lounger on them.
It is getting ridiculous at the moment, normally quiet before 8.30-9am on a Sunday. Can`t blame people for making the most of this exceptional weather and the longer they are on the beach, the more chance of a coin deposit in the Bank of Sand.
Cheers ::g

Indeed, but due to aforesaid global warming, will the beach still offer that opportunity, or even be there, in a few years' time?

Good haul BTW :)

Now that’s a good session, and all spendable. ::g

If it carries on like this much longer there’s a few of us won’t care, well be carted off to the funny farm. x;

That sounded a bit dismissive. It came out wrong and in the wrong order. I was referring to the Sun Worshipers being regurgitated.

I’m going stir-crazy stuck in-doors. Think there must be some Vampire in the blood somewhere back in time. Cant stay out in the Sun for long, makes quite poorly :((
