Thames Mudlarking news item.

Post by Saffron » Thu Feb 16, 2017 9:08 pm

When I went on the internet this evening noticed the first item below linked form the BBC News site which I have set up as my home page.
The treasure hunters of the River Thames - BBC News
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-38986453

I also found the following radio interview with the same lady
BBC World Service - Newsday, Mudlarking by the River Thames
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04t224p

Nothing "new" in the items but could interest some on here.

Good gracious Evan WHY have you got that load of old codswallop as your homepage. Total and utter propaganda these days. Not even pretending to be unbiased or even-handed and the quality of reporting and News is terrible. Sensationalist nonsense sourced from twitter mainly. lol
of course.
That said, thanks for the link. I always wanted to have a go at mudlarking back in the day. No chance now

The beeb world service reporters were on the foreshore back in the 80s trying to get voice recordings ..But I told em to P**s off as did other diggers at the time ..Why would we want to advertise our hot sites which are now picked clean as a buzzerds bones ..
