Hi Knotalot,

It's a copper alloy South-Western type stater (iron age, but the dates can very from 800 BC x; to 50 AD). ::g

Here are two identical coins for reference:

I remember Jane Fonda using one to buy a mamouth tusk x; :)) =))

Got to be a self recorder record surely, either that or somebody had just had their graduation day the day before they covered coinage in the iron age, which is very possible!!!

I'm sorry if the age I copied from finds.org.uk was wrong, but I use finds.org.uk/UKDFD a lot for identification and thought these were monitored by archeologists and therefore trustworthy. Obviously not all information on there can be trusted. ;;z
