Mounts or buttons?

Post by hadri » Tue Jun 12, 2018 5:26 pm

Hi all.
I founds these two items today on paddock land with my ctx on a Roman programme.
The first is a small stud like button /mount with what looks like a hammered finish to it.
Size approx 14mm
Weight 3.0g
The second is a large pewter disc what looks like a rose with copper inlay
Size approx 35mm
Weight 32.1g
Any help on id or age would be a great help .
Many thanks.

Copper strap rivet(bottom) & the top one favours a harness mount/boss...what's on the back?

In future, please remember the requirement for a 'scale' alongside all 'finds' photo's. x; ss47
