Little hammy
Little hammy
Hi all,
Out a couple of hours today and bagged my first hammered in quite a while. Heart sank though when it broke as I lifted it!!
Apologies, lighting and pics are as good as I can get tonight, but does anyone have any suggestions on what it is? Not often I find them so my ID skills aren't brilliant. I thought maybe a Henry but unsure which..
20mm approx in diameter, and found with CTX at about 4 to 5 inches
Thanks in advance

Re: Little hammy
Well done. They are so fragile. Mine that end up like that get cellotaped and cut around. It’s gutty but atleast you finding hammered there, they may well be more.
2019 hammies. = 16 (including quarters, halves and broken)
Saxon = 1( broken sceatta)
Celtic. = 1
Silver denarius = 1
Gold Roman = 0
Gold ring. = 0
