Late Edward I or early Edward II London penny

Post by vladorado » Thu Aug 09, 2018 10:11 pm

Hi guys! Today I found another hammered coin - my second hammy! I decided to check very thoroughly the spot where I found the gold coin 5 days ago and only 7 feet away from the spot the gold coin was found, I got strong non-ferrous signal with VDI 12.21 . It was another silver hammered coin, 3" deep.
The settings of my CTX 3030 were the usual ones I use on that field:
All metal
Tone ID profile - Combined tones
Response - Smooth
Recovery fast - off
Recovery deep - off
Seawater - off
Target separation - Low trash
SENSITIVITY - manual - 21 - recommended 15
Gain volume - 30

The coin is 1.86mm at its widest and weighs 1.23g
It is in quite poor condition. I hope it can be identified!
