Gold coin + other various things

Post by Ryan1uk » Wed Sep 19, 2018 5:32 pm

Hi all,

These were all found by my Grandad on Saturday and Sunday. The ground was nice and soft having just been turned over. Found at various depths using a Laser Rapier. Not sure on settings but can find out if anyone is interested.

I think the gold coin is a 1762 King George III Quarter Guinea

Any information is much appreciated and thanks for looking.

Thing above the buckle is part of a chafing dish handle & shield shaped thing is a medieval heraldic mount đź‘Ť

Think the thing next to the lighter is off a seed drill....

Next to lighter is a seed measure/scoop from a seed drill. Below that is a Medieval shield mount. ::g

or the gold coin as a love token is quite special and I myself would leave as is unless you are selling it to split between you and the landowner.

im taking bit of a punt but I think the shield is Arms of Nicholas de Cantilupe Lord of Ilkeston, Baron of Greasley.the pope granted granted him licence so he could have a portable shrine, as he was too busy (killing Frenchmen) to be able to attend regular mass and confession lol
click link hes quite an interesting chap lol
