Saxon? Perhaps....

Post by GIBBSY » Thu Sep 20, 2018 3:38 pm

Hello,
Would greatly appreciate your help with this one.
Suspiciously Saxon, but that would be rare in the Highlands. Viking?
My first hammy for 2018, it’s been a poor year...

Deus 5.2
‘Sifter’ program. (First time I used this)
Light soil. Shallow target. TID 52 ish.

Paul.

William the Lion his grandfather was David 1st son of Queen Margaret and patron saint of Scotland was also a princess from the house of Wessex the daughter of the English prince Edward the Exile, and granddaughter of Edmund Ironside, King of England. her brother Edgar was the last of the male line of Cerdic house of Wessex Edgar was the last claimant to the English throne following harolds defeat at hastings..in fact He was elected King of England by the Witenagemot in 1066 but never crowned. ..so not to far off with the Saxon lol

Thanks everyone for the informative and motivational comments.
Was wondering if I would hit ZERO hammies by the end of the year, but nice to be proven wrong.
The site is an interesting one. Sandy soil, just a couple of hundred metres from the shoreline. Very little junk, but enough interesting stuff to keep going back. My first signal on this field was a John penny a year or two ago, since then I have had a good condition gun money shilling, and now this half.
I’ll head back again later and see what else comes up.
The ‘sifter’ program is a keeper, very nice work.
Thanks again,

Paul.
