Ancient Bronze Coin - Different!

Post by stupot » Thu Nov 08, 2018 9:43 am

Cleaning some Roman bronzes from last week from a Lincolnshire trip this more unusual coin appeared. Mostly, the usual Roman varieties - always welcome in any case. This at first looked like a Roman local copy but looks more Celtic now. Not sure as to the orientation of the reverse so I puit the globe device at the bottom. Hoping it is Celtic as they are so rare as finds for me. Diameter is actually 13-14mm slightly over the scale shown.
