Post by Me and my boy » Wed Jan 09, 2019 9:58 am

Firstly a modererator question aimed at Oxgirl. My friend says I can’t count this towards the hammy unless I can id it. What’s the Consensus?
Also I’m praying you can help Allectus.

Ps no scale sorry as I had to hide in the bathroom from the missus as she says I spend too much time detecting and looking at the toot I find. 🤫

It's a short-cross fragment. The style of the X strongly suggests 5b. ::g

What's the letter before N on the reverse?

A ;)

I couldn’t take a ruler in the bathroom to add the scale, that would look so wrong😯
I’ll look at the letter when home.
Cheers Allectus.

Someone dared to say this didn’t count? If it’s identifiable as a hammered silver coin (even with exact one unknown) then it counts.

But I am refusing to accept this is an Oxford one. You aren’t allowed one of those - they are mine. Maybe an odd one for Bargeman too as we both agreed recently that an Oxford hammy would be a dream silver coin for both of us.

Right now just getting any silver would be nice :-L

Good luck both.
I’ll watch this space for two Oxford Saxon coins then 🤞

It looks more like a hammy now you've done a job on it.
It counts for me.
I got a vision of you crouched over your silver coin in the bathroom and Debs the other side with her ear cupped to the door!😂
