Any info please.

Hi,

Found this yesterday on my very cold and windy permission.

Found with my Deus on GMP mode approx 4 inches deep. The soil was, surprisingly, very dry and loose.

Have tried to ID myself, maybe a hat pin. But possibly to old.

It has an acorn design at one end and a fork like design at the other.

Sorry that that the images aren't very clear.

Any info would be appreciated.

I reckon the "forked" end used to be a hole

Hi,

Thank you for your replies and thoughts on the attached images.

I believe that the bottom part, as pointed out, was actually a hole which now appears to be broken.

I have continued looking for something similar but without luck.

Any further info would be appreciated.

The end does look like a roman nail cleaner. Like this one...

Thank you Oxgirl36.

The end certainly looks the same as the one in your link.

The grooves also look similar and in identical places.

I think that is a positive ID.

Thanks again.
