Henry VI rosette-mascle halfpenny - Calais, ID c/o Allectus

Post by jondurandsilver » Sat Jan 12, 2019 8:35 am

I had to go and see a customer yesterday and as it happened to be near my best permission it would have been rude not to take my trusty deus lite with me.
Two of these were found digging 'iffy scratchy signals' that if I was tired I wouldnt have bothered with.
The full hammie looked like it had been gotten by the acidity in the soil but when I gave it a rub with the foil and some water it came up very nicely. ::g
I'm not sure with this coin as the mint mark I haven't pinned down.
Any help would be greatly received.
:D

Interesting how the 'clippers' left the m/m in place, do you think they did it in purpose?
