Looks more like a (furniture?) mount of some sort from here.
Essential equipment:
Some sort of electrical gubbins(I'm told it's a Deus). In various colours
Jenkins
Gin.

Hi
Lucky mate-that is cool,but what?
Certainly looks a good age-is it me or is it zoomorphic,
Can see a couple of ‘heads’ .
What a brilliant and intriguing find
::g
Are the lugs on it sticking out of the front?
Easylife cld be close?
Guessing the thin end is a broken loop..

It’s lovely - agree it has a zoomophoric feel - 2 dragon heads?

Sure i’ve seen something like it before.

What a lovely find & well done,
Looks like the jellinge/norse Scandinavian type design with two beasts,
Could it be a knife or sword scabbard chape?
a great piece of early medieval metalwork.
