TINY aluminium ... or silver...?
Evening All,
I found this tiny bit today.... quite near surface drilled field, Hants. Looks like a leaf or a fern or something.
Looks to be pressed and thought modern and aluminium or summat but although not needing a clean it passed the silver foil smelly egg test...!
I was wondering if anyone had come across anything similar - might it be a charm from a bracelet?
Any knowledge much appreciated!

I am probably going to be wrong (I usually am) but nothing about that artefact exudes the quality that you would expect from an item made of silver

I couldn't agree more! Does aluminium smell of rotten eggs too?

It looks silver to me. If it smells of rotten eggs then it will be
A small medallion on say a bracelet? Might not be very old though

See if it goes black if you put it in bleach, then try the foil trick on it.
But the weight alone should tell you if it's aluminium.
