Pastry jigger?

Post by Zyrbalax » Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:29 pm

Hi all,

Please excuse the rubbish photo and the obviously partly cleaned state, breaking probably all the rules of the Hammy code!

I found this about 8-10" down in pasture, I think it's a pastry jigger (without the cutting wheel) but I'm a bit unsure because it seems to have two "brackets" or "forks", one at each end (one end broken). I can't find one on PAS or Google that looks like that, most look like they have some kind of tool at the other end of the wheel for making patterns in the pastry.

Can any of our experts confirm or put me right?

Copper alloy, about 8-10cm long. If better photos will help I'll put some up this evening (but I'm hoping it's distinctive enough as it is...)

Many thanks
Z
