Ring

Post by Muddyknee » Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:51 pm

Found today in garden of 16thc Manor house, around 7" deep.
Garrett showed a vdi of around 74.
Plating looks like a dull silver, surviving stones are deep blue.
Not sure what base metal is,feels quite heavy for it's size.

Not clear from the photo but it looks like a silver plated junker I'm afraid. There is an outside chance that it might be rhodium plated silver with the plate badly worn. :D By style I'd guess late Victorian onwards.

Not disappointed at all, small price to pay compared to the excitement I felt when I lifted it
Best part of detecting, the anticipation with every signal.😎
