H - Have at least two good sized clear photos, this is Mandatory
A - About your detecting day, type of land, depth found.
M - Measure items by doing the pics next to a scale or ruler. this is Mandatory
M - Machine used? settings? interesting to other users.
Y - You will always get a better ID if you supply more information.

*PLEASE NOTE: Use of a modern coin or written dimensions no longer qualify as a "scale". We need a properly-defined measure - metric or good old-fashioned inches will do.

Out today on rolled field, a wide variety of finds of which I will require Id's please, soil conditions varied from clay to easy to dig sort of sandy soil.


Deus fast slightly modified by reducing:
Discrimination to 1, Full tones
Sensitivity 90, TX power 2
Frequency 12
Reactivity 3, Silencer -1
GB = Tracking
11 inch coil
Version 3,2
Ta for looking.

Key

1: Todays best finds.

2/3: Looks like a mount any idea of age?

4/5:Lead seal not sure if it is a bag seal or wool seal or age come to think of it.

6: Small plated buckle.

7: Lead Matrix seal not sure if it is in the correct position for an ID.

8/9: Fob Seal, base metal can't make out the detail.

10/11; Hammered for ID please.

12/13: Hammered for ID please.

Nice array of finds ! That "fob" seal in #9 is a chesspiece type seal matrix of about 14th-15th C,fob seals are generally attributed to Georgian.

Lovely selection....and what a fun dig it must have been! I particularly like the 'coin seal' ...I found one recently but it was damaged so difficult/impossible to decipher. Its grand to get a persons name back from the oblivion of the past and know that they handled that object themselves. Amazing really when you come to think on it. ::g

The round lead seal is 13th century and the upright copper alloy seal is late 16th/ 17th century. Well done.
