i feel i should know what this is but i don't

went out on a heavily detected (by me) part of a field yesterday that has in the past produced a good amount of medieval coins and artifacts. Anyway found this lead and iron item that weighs 8ozs but do not know what it is. Thought one of you will know exactly what it is and find them regularily !!!! Found below plough depth with signum

Type of grapeshot for a cannon I believe,good idea to research Tudor through to Napoleonic military history in the area.
Found a couple of smaller ones myself,near to a Civil War encampment.
Not 100% certain,but seems a logical possibility.
Would for sure cause some serious damage.
