Hi Fellow diggers,
was wondering if anyone could help me ID this little item found on pasture 4 inches deep.
Isuspect furniture fitting or similar,any help with ID and date appreciated.

Many thanks Knotalot think that's reasonable but the patina looks quite old ,I thought it had a slight Roman look to it .
Also on the underside of the tip it is recessed not solid or flat

Flat things don't grip odd shaped lumps very well! :D

The hole looks threaded and there appears to maybe be two holes in t'other end? x;
