Is this too Big?????

Post by Slapster » Mon May 20, 2019 4:19 pm

Found this afternoon on a blazing hot Cornish summer day :-)
Using my Deus on Garys Ultimate, but with the XY display.
In a compressed cow pasture, complete with the pats, but fairly soft beneath.....
Gave a strong signal (as you would expect) and was about 3" down....

My first impression was that it was a lead cloth/bag seal........

But its a biggie!!! Is it just too big? If so, then "HELP" - what is it?

Thanks in advance.....
Steve

Not an obvious Avoirdupois so most probably either a local weight or a personal one then. :D

Thanks for all the help thus far......

What are your thoughts on it being a flattened Musket Ball?

The only reason I ask is that aa few Musket Balls have apparently been found nearby......

isn't 2 oz around 57 grams ? a fair percentage difference.

sometimes you have to except these lead disks had many uses.

tying it down to one is next to impossible.

these about 10 weight systems on here https://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/weight/

and about another 10 if you use the ancient systems each then has around 5 subdivisions.

your bound to find a match somewhere.

although they could have been just short changing everyone :D :D
