I think I've found my first Roman Silver coin - Silver denarius of Mn. Acilius Glabrio, Roman Republic, 49 BCE

I was out this afternoon on the hilltop stubble field, and to say I was struggling for decent finds would be an understatement.

I'd picked up a few Roman Greyware sherds while walking up and down, then all of a sudden the Nox sang to me. :)) This gave a 20 signal in Field 2, I had the recovery speed at 2, as I was attempting to find the deep elusive targets. That said, this little beauty was only 2 inches deep.

I couldn't stop laughing when I realised what it was, how odd! :D

The small marks on the scale are in millimetres.
