ID please.....

Post by Wacker96 »

I think this is an Indian figure?Any Idea how old?

It was about 3 inches down in some woodland behind the site of an old hall that dated back to the 1840's.
I found it on Zero mode with My AT Max with discrimination set at 14,threshold at 1 and the sensitivity at 4.

Cheers Pete.

I've seen a small pair of Indian made mating elephants in an antique shop, but never seen a frog humping a teddy bear.

Trying to take an abstract view it looks a bit like an Indian chief on the back of a small horse, if not then this creature has six legs! I think the proportions aren't great and that's what makes is look like something pornographic. Maybe that's why it was thrown away!

to me this looks like a military soldier in a charge position with his sword / scabbard hanging from his waist - I'd not be surprised if the missing / broken piece was a raised arm / sword. I think what's confusing people is - the over flash from the cashing process - making it look something different / odd. I'll google search it later today. ::g

I can see where your coming from especially with the "sword scabbard" but I can see both arms..

I would say they look as if they are in the position to hold the reins close to the horse's head, like a race horse jockey does ??? If that were the case, maybe that "scabbard" is actually a "whip"????

I think it's supposed to be this - a typical early 20th century Cowboys & Indians figure where the chap sports a feather head dress and carries a bow and arrow. You can just make out the shape of the curving bow in the original images.

It's just really badly cast with so much flash around the edge it's become impossible to make out.
