Brain Teaser of a coin!!

Post by MetalSmithy »

Inverness
Black Isle
Nox800

Back out on yesterdays field. Loads of finds, the best being a finger ring and this.

I think it’s a coin of some sort but not one I’ve ever found before. Equally it could be something entirely different. Appears to be made of a copper alloy and there doesn’t seem to be any discernible legend on either face. I think this one is definitely one for Allectus to contemplate!!

I had to use artificial light for the images so they’re not so brilliant but hopefully though they’re good enough for an ID.
