Base silver ring for dating.

Post by Ten pence! »

Found by a non detectorust friend several years ago on her farm, any ideas of the age? Base silver and looks fairly modern to me.
Thanks in advance.

From it's appearance in the pic, I doubt it's a finger ring as the inside edges appear to be too sharp. Could it be an adornment for Cane, Swagger Stick or parasol? See what others offer as it's just an option. Perhaps a close-up image of the inside edge might also help? [81/]

You might be right, I 've just checked out some swagger stick pictures and I can see similar bits on them.
