Possible Stirrup mount

Post by Hammertime »

Good evening all,

I found the following items in a ploughed field in Lincolnshire. I’m pretty sure the first item is a Stirrup mount but struggling to confirm it. I have no idea what the second item is but I guess it’s old due to the patina.

Greatful for any help.

Regards
Hammertime.

Bare in mind the modern period in history starts at 1500. On here it generallly follows the periods more closely used by PAS/British museum. So items, such as the second item maybe Georgian or Victorian, but referred to as modern. It does look to be a furniture mount of that period looking at the pattern.

I can't help on the first item.
