Help with ID of pendant
Evening to all
Can anyone help with id or age of this pedant please
Seems to be made of copper or bronze, it has a figure on the front and some writing which I can’t make out and on the back has a cross some letters and numbers but again can’t make them out.
I don’t think it’s very old but curious to find out any info about it, many thanks

thanks makro, ive just had a look online and the st christophers seem to all have some sort of stick or staff in their hands, ive just looked at the first pic again and wondered if it is a bird on the figures arm? possibly a falconer?

It's almost certainly a votive pendant. Maybe there is a Patron Saint who was pictured with a bird? I don't think it is likely to depict a falconer though.
In Vino Veritas.

Yes - if the image or any of the legend surrounding the image can be teased out by careful cleaning then you might have more to go on - looks very interesting though and well found
Being completely flippant, it could be a ventriloquist with his her / dummy at the moment
(Sorry!)

If it's a bird it might well be St Francis, often pictured with a bird in hand. Or maybe St Ode or maybe St Benedict who is pictured with a raven and usually has a cross on the other side.
