Bronze find

Post by Tronic »

Hi there, could I ask that you take a look at my find and give your opinion on what it could be please.

The item was discovered yesterday, 3rd Feb, in a livestock grazing field, using a Minelab xterra pro, factory settings "Field 1", reading 58-60.
It was extracted from the plug, at a depth of about 75-100mm from surface level.

I believe that it is cast Bronze, it weighs 17grms and measures, 46mm L x 20mm W x 14mm H.
It has a ring at the top and a hole/tube on the back, across its width, below the ring. This looks like part of a hinge mechanism

Thanks for looking.

Hi M2, I have searched the websites and I cannot see one like it either. It looks a bit utilitarian as opposed to being decorative.
