Fragment for ID please

Can anyone help with what this could be a fragment of please? I think it’s made of bronze but looks like it has been painted. Thanks very much 😊

Pretty much impossible to ID .. but has little age... Its one of those for the "interesting" category :) :) :)
Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.

Hi Riggers

Found a more complete one of these 6month back.

Got way too excited thinking it to be Roman because I wanted everything to be Roman… modernish door handle was the feedback from the more experienced. ?

Thank you very much - I guessed it wasn’t old because of the paint, just interested to find out what people thought, thank you 😊

Ha ha ha you sound like me, my detecting partner laughs because I think everything is Roman no matter how obvious it is that it’s not. Thanks a lot, much appreciated 😊

Thanks very much for the ID, that’s really interesting, it does look that way, originally I thought it might have been from a fireplace surround or something similar. Thanks again for your help 😊
