Fragment for ID please
Can anyone help with what this could be a fragment of please? I think it’s made of bronze but looks like it has been painted. Thanks very much

Pretty much impossible to ID .. but has little age... Its one of those for the "interesting" category

Found a more complete one of these 6month back.
Got way too excited thinking it to be Roman because I wanted everything to be Roman… modernish door handle was the feedback from the more experienced. ?

Thanks very much for the ID, that’s really interesting, it does look that way, originally I thought it might have been from a fireplace surround or something similar.
