Hi folks,
Could any of the experts on here help ID this lead coin weight? It was found around 5 inches down on a pasture permission. The field has late medieval/post medieval history so I’m guessing it probably ties in with those dates. I’ve included a scale photo and two others under better lighting to highlight the details of each side. Thanks in advance!
Cheers

Hi Bleep 2000
Is the field you were detecting on near a church or a church site?
The reason I ask is that I have found many of these of similar size. It could possibly be a Scottish lead church token but don't quote me on that! Interesting find anyway.

Good point luckyb
. I’m now thinking it’s some kind of token or bag seal rather than my initial thoughts of it being a weight.
12goldbars - This item was found on hill pasture, no church in the immediate field area but there’s an older church around a mile from the find spot. That’s a good shout about it possibly being a communion token!
Thanks All
