Celtic Coin (?) for ID
Afternoon all,
30 minutes into this morning's detecting I found this little silver coin. It was definitely one those "it can't be, can it?" moments so I would love to get confirmation whether it is Celtic and any other further info from the resident experts here. The permission is in what would have been Regni territory.
There is some stubborn, solid build up on left hand the side of the coin with the leaf/antler-like motifs (bottom photo). Plenty of chalk and flint in the soil here so wondering if it is related to that.
Thank you.

Thanks Kevin, always appreciate your support! Still a little bit speechless to be honest, thought this was a silver unit which would have amazing in itself but to find out it's a stater has just blown my mind.KevinB wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 5:57 pm Who said persistency does`nt pay off??....Proof it does!

Best you keep just one earpad on with your headphones and keep looking over your shoulder. If you see a bloke in an orange mankini and matching espadrilles detecting guess who!!!.......
